Scars
The therapy of conspicuous scars is complex. For the wound suture, the steps must generally be chosen so that no scars result. Following accidents, unattractive scars can arise. Moreover, if there is a tendency to exuberant scar formation, early treatment is recommended.
The use of compression dressings, scar salves and massages can further regression. Pouting scars can be dermabraded. Functionally restrictive scars must under certain circumstances be surgically removed anew or reduced with the use of special surgical techniques.
